Description:
Provides quality, assembly , and operational technical assistance in support of vehicle production for all tooling/equipment and vehicle performance. Develops and maintains assembly process standards, specifications, and work methods. Identifies causes and provides solutions to actual or potential assembly problems. Identifies issues and follows-up to initiate problem resolution corrective action and communications with operators, supervisors, and quality personnel. Design, modify and create specifications for tools and equipment . Work with maintenance and vendor services for preventative maintenance and repairs to tools/equipment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Works closely with assembly operation to ensure assembly procedures are being maintained at client requirements.
Develops action plans to resolve assembly and vehicle performance problems. Initiates problem resolution communications and follows-up to implement corrective action.
Identify tooling/equipment issues and coordinate corrective action for maintenance and/or vendor service repair.
Develops plans for special projects. Processes improvements, cost reduction, new work content procedures, assembly tools/equipment and methods, etc.
Sets and monitors assembly methods and key characteristics. Measures and analyzes Production parameters and part specifications.
Maintains tooling database, spare parts, manuals, schematics and monitors correct operation of tools.
Reads and interprets engineering drawings, assembly documents, manuals and specifications.
Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Industrial Management and minimum three years related experience, or Bachelor's degree in same (preferred) and minimum five years related experience, preferably in engineering field

Quality control techniques (TQM, SPC, etc.)
Blueprints and engineering drawing
Assembly tooling and fixtures
Dimensional parts tolerancing

Vehicle flash programming

AutoCAD 2012

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Proficient PC skills in Windows application such as: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and Lotus notes.
Proficient with AutoCAD 2012 , Unigraphics 3D
Proficient with C+
programming and Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000
Good written and verbal communication skills including ability to write clear and concise technical findings and recommendations
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, schematics, assembly documents and specifications.
Ability to prepare mechanical drawings, plant layouts and assembly sketches
Ability to prepare and conduct training and business presentations
PHYSICAL STANDARDS
The employee must be able to access, enter , and retrieve data using a computer.
Requires occasional lifting of light material (5-25 lbs.) and lifting of items weighing between 25-60 lbs.
This is hands on position that will require the employee to physically complete installations and repairs on equipment that include climbing ladders, pneumatics' electrical and hydraulics .
