Marketing Events Manager - (SH11293)

The Marketing Events Manager position is responsible for elevating the Spartan Motors brand through managing the strategy, coordination, and execution of our broad portfolio of tradeshows, meetings, and events with internal partners and outside vendor partners. This position will also oversee promotions, procurement, oversight of packing and shipping processes, and promotional merchandise sales for Spartan Motors and its various business units and go-to-market brands.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable in working with light supervision, can think operationally, strategically, tactically and analytically, have a magnetic personality to build and foster relationships, as well as adjust to situations on the fly.
Utilize project management skills to coordinate all aspects of the annual shows and events that Spartan hosts such as the Sales and Dealer Meetings and the Fire Truck Training Conference, as well as the 60+ annual tradeshows, events, and meetings that Spartan attends (FDIC, NTEA, RVIA, etc.)
Develop and maintain an events calendar with a detailed timeline and status for each tradeshow and event, and report regularly to stakeholders
Manage comprehensive display property and show support asset inventory to minimize duplication costs, and reduce packing, shipping, and unpacking times effectively
Secure relevant exhibit space and execute contracts, as required
Coordinate and oversee relevant services for events, such as: accommodation and transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, registrations, and other special needs as necessary
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws at show locations
Work closely with Segment Marketing Managers to track, monitor, and control event costs against forecasted budgets and negotiate all necessary contracts
Manage all amenities and accommodations at the event
Coordinate meetings between departments pre- and post-show; implement lessons learned and best practices to ensure continuous improvement
Research and acquire purposeful merchandise related to events
Coordinate shipment of printed materials for events such as flyers, posters, banners, invitations, etc.
Travel to all major shows and events to oversee set-up and tear-down
Assist with planning and execution of other meetings and special events
Assist with related special projects as needed
Develop processes around establishing and maintaining productive vendor, distributor, and customer relations
Oversee inventory and sales of promotional items and merchandising through online channels, POS displays at events, and in Spartan?s physical storefronts in office locations, with strategic focus on continued growth in this revenue stream
Develop meaningful reports to demonstrate event effectiveness in relation to department or business unit specific KPIs
Solve complex problems with minimal assistance
Keep abreast of current event management best practices, standards and trends, and bring those ideas back to the team as deemed relevant
Other tasks as assigned
Bachelor?s degree in marketing, event planning, communications, public relations, or business administration strongly preferred
Minimum of five years? experience in event coordination or management

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
