Telecom Compliance Paralegal

The?Regulatory Paralegal?will
provide support to the Regulatory Legal Compliance attorneys, interact with
internal business owners, and external regulatory agencies all focusing on
compliance and managing the processes that support these efforts.? More
specifically the position will monitor and research applicable laws and
regulations for implementation into the business.? The Regulatory Legal Team is responsible for
all state and federal telecommunications related compliance.?

Essential Functions


??????Legal and
regulatory research, including multi-state and federal research, using LEXIS
and internet resources


??????Monitor and
disseminate new legislation and regulations that impact the business.


????? Project
Management for myriad regulatory compliance initiatives and regulatory
inquiries/investigations including, but not limited to, chairing and organizing
meetings with relevant internal business owners, managing the input of other
departments, working with attorneys on the proper legal parameters, on-going
maintenance of compliance programs, and general organization and marshaling of
several projects. Assist with investigating and responding to complaints and
cases/claims filed against company on an as-needed basis.


? ???Manage the acquisition of data from internal
resource as may be required and prepare complex responses accordingly.


??????Provide
indirect support to various company organizations, including customer support,
financial services, marketing, and sales, regarding customer and company
issues.

Desired Qualifications:?
At least 3-5 years of telecom experience with a focus on
regulatory compliance, paralegal experience preferred but not required.? Experience in a corporate environment, is also
preferred. Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Office, and
PowerPoint is also beneficial.??


Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent and 6+ years experience with 4+ years directly related to the job. College hours or a college degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate. IND123

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
